The Launting restaurant is a venue located in the heart of the Nothing Hill and offers a typical traditional Chinese cuisine in a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere!
I can recommend to try the Crispy Duck Salad as a main and Chicken with Ginger and Onion or the Curry Pork Cutlets as a main meals. Also their selection of noodles is nice as well!
I don't usually write reviews but for this place I had to make an exception.
I've lived in China, my wife is Chinese and we are both discerning eaters when it comes to Chinese cuisine.
The food was excellent.
Particularly outstanding were the "Mouth-watering Chicken" - 口水鸡 (kou shui ji) and Shuizhu Yu 水煮鱼.
Unusually, given the reputation of Chinese restaurants, the service was fantastic. The waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and polite, with excellent recommendations. The decor was excellent - modern and comfortable without the sterile / museum quality a lot of Chinese restaurants can suffer from. A family came in with noisy children and a screen was promptly put up so we weren't bothered by them, without our asking.
The prices are spot on as well. Two of us ordered enough food to fill us both, with enough left over to take home and have for dinner the next day. All this came to under £50.
Could not find fault with the place. Will definitely be going back.
